The Canterbury Rams are pleased to provide an update on the Canterbury Basketball Academy & the Mainland Eagles Academy.  On a quarterly basis we will be getting you all of the last news in the format of a Canterbury Rams, Canterbury Basketball Academy & Mainland Eagles Academy newsletter.  The objectives of the Canterbury Rams are philanthropic in nature which is reflected in the fact that the sole beneficiary (limited partner) of the Canterbury Rams is a charitable trust (Canterbury Regional Basketball Foundation) established for the benefit of growing basketball throughout the region.  The Canterbury Regional Basketball Foundation runs 2 academies including the Canterbury Basketball Academy & the Mainland Eagles Academy.  The Canterbury Basketball Academy encapsulates the various facets of the Canterbury Basketball Association (CBA) under age development and representative program.  The purpose of the Academy is to ensure that teams at National and Regional tournaments are the best-prepared and coached to proudly represent Canterbury Basketball Association.  The Mainland Eagles Basketball Academy was created to help support and prepare basketball players throughout the South Island in their dream of playing US College Basketball.  Currently there are 12 players from the Mainland Eagles Academy on scholarship in the USA playing college basketball and pursuing their teritiary academic endeavours.  We hope you enjoy reading these news letters as you get to know the players, coaches & volunteers involved with both of these Academies.  Thanks to all of time and support that help our youngsters strive towards their goals.
