CANTERBURY
KNIGHTS SQUAD ANNOUNCED

The Canterbury
Knights squad for the 2001 season was announced
after a final trial last night at Middleton
Grange School Gymnasium. The Knights are the
developmental squad for the WestpacTrust
Canterbury Rams and will participate in the
Conference Basketball League (2nd
Division).
This season the Knights will compete with sides
from Otago, S.I.T. (Christchurch) and Kaikoura in
the south of the South Island region.
To qualify for the national finals teams must
finish in the top two placings after round robin
competition, from each region.
Six Rams squad members will also be added to the
Knights roster.
The Knights’ home games will be curtain
raisers for the Canterbury Rams at the
WestpacTrust Centre.
