Massey University - Postgraduate Diplima in Sport Management, MBS (studying)

Piet is a self-confessed 'basketball-junkie' and has been involved wih the Rams organisation as a volunteer over the past 5 seasons. Piet created and launched "RAMPAGES" mid-way through the 1999 season and has maintained & designed all the information on the website since.

Piet was a member of the scorebench crew (1996-97) and a TV statisitican (1998-99) - working with Bob Manthei, John Watson and Terry Brunel. Last year he contributed over 500 hours as the Game Entertainment Manager, Webmaster of Rampages, Team Publications editor and designer (Team Guide and Programme), Summer Clinic 2001 Director, and manager of the BSMS. This year Piet has undertaken a Masters degree with a Thesis on “Sport Marketing and the Internet."

During the 2001 season, Piet will be responsible for most of the aspects from last year as well as managing the Public Relations and acting as Court Controller during home games.

He has also refereed all levels of basketball in Christchurch including the Women's national league and a preseason Men's national league level game.

His ambition is to pursue a career in a professional sport organisation.
