• Had an unfortunate pre-season, getting a tooth knocked-out in the Wellington tournament

• Represented Canterbury at various age groups including championship winning teams: U23  2001 and 2002

• Spent 2001 and 2002 with the  Kaikoura Whale Riders in the CBL (2nd division)

• Kaikoura won the CBL national title in 2001 and were runners-up in 2002

• Had nine points, five rebounds and three blocks against the Canterbury Knights in 2002.
