RAMS NEWS:
RAMS WINLESS ON AUCKLAND DOUBLE-HEADER
by Piet Van Hasselt
26 & 27 April 2003
26 April - HARBOUR HEATS UP!
Turnovers cost the Canterbury Rams a positive ending to their Auckland
away double-header going down in a low scoring game, 76-86. A balanced
Kiwi attack with five players in double-figures helped Harbour to the
victory. American Mike Pegues led the Rams with 21 points. Apologies for
the late boxscore - the poor Harbour stats crew had computer troubles and
had to do the second half the old fashioned way - by hand! The good
people at BBNZ have manually entered these stats and the boxscore was
available this afternoon.

IN AUCKLAND
Auckland began their season with a win this afternoon over the
Canterbury Rams, 95-82. A decisive 29-14 score-line in the third
quarter allowed the Aucklanders to build up a 21-point lead at the end
of the third quarter. Guard Aaron Olsen was on fire from three-point
land knocking down six bombs. The Rams accumulated a costly 40
turnovers compared to the Stars 16. American Casey Frank was the
catalyst on the inside providing 15 points and 15 rebounds. Dave
