1. AUCKLAND 10 - AWAY DOUBLE-HEADER
Saturday 26 April, 3:15pm, Canterbury Rams @ Auckland Stars, Unitec
Sunday 27 April, 3:30pm, Canterbury Rams @ Harbour Heat, North Shore Events Centre

The Scenic Circle Canterbury Rams coaching staff last night announced the squad of 10 that will fly up to Auckland for the double-header of games to start the Burger King League (National Basketball League)

Andrew Gardiner
Ben Jeffrey
Jeremy Kench
Dave Langrell
Rewi Manahi
Mark McLaughlin
Luke Osborn
Mike Pegues
Kenny Perkins
Boyd Smart

Of particular note is the naming of young point guard Jeremy Kench who is in his rookie season with the Rams.  Kenny Perkins and Rewi Manahi return to the red & black singlet after stints with other teams and American Mike Pegues will play two games within 72 hours of stepping off the plane from the USA!

2. TIM EDMONDS INJURY UPDATE:
The toe that was suspected to be broken, turns out it wasn't.  Tim Edmonds will still miss this weekend's double-header, but may be fit to play in the Rams home opener on Saturday 3 May against the Harbour Heat, 7:00pm at Westpac Centre, Addington, Christchurch (Curtain-Raiser: Canterbury Legends).
