RAMS NEWS:
ANDREW GARDINER RETIRES
by Piet Van Hasselt
1 August 2003
The Rams
no-nonsense and uncompromising physical forward Andrew Gardiner has
announced his retirement after 16 seasons in the league (game on Friday vs
Jets will be his last).
Andrews intensity and workmanlike attitude will be sorely missed. Rams
Fans will remember fondly his trademark cheshire
cat grins as well as his graceful swan lake drives to the hoop.
Andrew has played with Harbour 1986-97, Saints 1998-2000 and Rams
2001-03. He was a Tall Black squad member from 1994-2001 and attended San
Jose State (USA) from 1988-93. The Rams wish Andrew, wife Amy and
daughter Ella the best for the future.
